Welcome to the sims world update! For the people who did not catch up on previous lore about this family, I will update you from the start of the story. We start our story with an aspiring comedian named Mag, and her child, Juliana. They live in a basic house and can barely afford doors for all the rooms. They subsidize their money by inviting neighbors to stay over and selling their paintings and running a small indoor garden which they have instead of a living room.
Mag got busy on her first in-day game, and romanced the Grim Reaper. I had to use cheats because now romancing the Grim Reaper is behind a paywall. While cheating all this Grim Reaper business, he somehow lost his clothes and to this day, he reaps souls in his tighty whities (fyi, the underpants are black). The result of their romance was a baby boy, who was named Michael.
As Mag climbs the comedy career, her houseguests (whose labor she also exploits for money) take care of baby/ infant/ toddler Michael. She eventually earns enough dough to buy doors, expand her garden. When Juliana grew into a teenager, she dyed her hair pink, wore a suit and top hat everywhere and ambitiously took on the 'villainous valentine' aspiration, which I had never played through before. So in the save file, there are no townie couples. Afterwards, she also completed the gardening and fishing aspirations.
Lore tidbit: their neighbour, Star won the lottery. I added this family into the world because I needed more couples to break up. The ex-husband's first name was American and last name was Banner, the ex-wife's name was Katie Spangle, and their child (if you are following here) is named Star Spangle-Banner. The other children are Jose Spangle-Banner, Isabella Spangle-Banner and Nia Spangle-Banner.
When they made enough money to outgrow their first house, nicknamed the Crack Cabana, which was characterized by its iconic green floors, it was bulldozed to make way for the Halloween House, a four-storey eyesore in the middle of Willow Creek. I spent way too much money on the exterior, and could not afford windows on the side or back of the house, stairs up to the third and fourth floors, doors on the first, third and fourth floors.
Here's where things get weird – the house layout: main floor has the indoor garden, barracks (3 bunk beds for 6 stay-over guests whose labors I can exploit), the main bedroom (where Mag and Juliana share a bed... they cannot afford more beds) and a bathroom; second floor has the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, Michael's bedroom and a sitting room because I don't believe in televisions.
The third floor eventually became Michael and Juliana's bedrooms, and the bathroom they shared. The fourth floor was to eventually become the 'Granny suite' (bed + bathroom + office) for the old legacy challenge heir to live until the end comes. The house was also haunted. The moment Juliana aged-up to young adult, she got busy pretty quick and started romancing Lilith Vatore, a name you may recognise if you play sims and have the vampires game pack. The original plan was to get Juliana all up in Lilith's brother, Caleb's business. Unfortunately Caleb met an untimely demise. She was pregnant with a character I named 'vampire baby' by the end of her first day as a young adult. The baby was conceived in the shower. See Lilith in the yellow shirt on your left. When Michael became a teenager, he was preppy for the first half, with a itty bitty moustache and long, slick-back hair. And the second half of teenager-hood, he started wearing black, grew his hair long so it covered one of his eyes and clown makeup to reflect what's on the inside. He powered through the painting aspiration, did well in high school, the usual for teenagers.
THIS IS MICHAEL ^
The first thing Michael did when he became an adult was adopt a child, named Ronny. Ronny looks like how Juliana looked as a child – normal, brown hair, normal clothes. The second thing that Michael did was update his clown goth appearance. At around the same time, Oyster aged up to child (making her and Ronny the same-ish age), and Juliana shaved her characteristic pink hair to what is now a plain buzzcut... but she is a responsible mother to not one, but four children and cannot spend a million dollars on hair products. PHOTO OF JULIANA ->The five children are named: Oyster, Caleb (after Lilith's brother), Ester and Ebeneezer (yes, that is how i spelled it) and Madison (I didn't name her... the game named her... I will change it one day, probably). Juliana moved out of her traditional family home, to move in with Lilith and the three younger children. Oyster stayed behind to live with grandma Mag, Uncle Michael and her cousin Ronny + some new additions to the family. There are no photos of the children other than Oyster. Maybe one day, but not today.
Mag has gone through many looks in her lifetime. From her signature all-black hair and outfits when she was a fledgling comedian, to cutting her hair and embracing her grays in all their middle age glory – plus the frosted tips that are the cherry on top to every mid-life crisis. A most recent photo of Mag can be found to the left.
Mag's signature is wearing a t-shirt and jorts and hiking boots with really tall socks. Ever since she was 23, she wore a cat vest to fend off winter storms. She wears a pink friendship bracelet (the only pop of colour during her all-black days), which was a gift from child Juliana (no wonder Juliana dyed her hair pink).
Now for the juicy bits... Michael's love life + most recent photos of Ronny and Oyster. Michael has made a few appearances in former sims worlds, in all of which he ends up with a ginger townie. Michael bagged Lilith Pleasant (for those Discover University fanatics), a ginger baddie who graduated university with a degree in villainy. The photo is down and to the right.
Originally, Lilith and Angela decide to live together in an old family home. They study at different schools, Lilith studies villainy, and Angela studies art. After Lilith moves in with Michael, Angela adopted a boy named Herriberto, and later had a science baby named Angellilith Pleasant.
Tidbits: here are some other well-known families I saved from extinction:
The Landgraabs – since Nancy and Geoffrey perished some time ago, Malcolm, their sole heir must carry on their name. A man name Johnny Zest somehow moves in and for some reason, they have a science baby girl together who is given the beautiful name: Zesttie Landgraab. For those sims lore experts, it may be well-established that Johnny has actually been disowned by the other members of the Landgraab family because he wanted to be a comedian. Is the fact that they had a baby together problematic? Probably... ? But the game let me. They also adopted another kid named Kolon Landgraab.
Vladdy Daddy's family (the Strauds) – he adopted a boy named Vlad Junior and had a science baby named Vladimira Straud – vampire, comfirmed. The Straud vampire family lives on !!!
Back to the story...
So it may have been surprising when Lilith and Michael's baby girl was born... and then another baby girl was born. You heard it correctly, twin girls born to the dejected twin. Their names are Elise (left) and Heidi (right). I was tired of the normal sims siblings being friends with each other. So these twins are enemies. I have also given up on controlling them, so they do everything autonomously and are both failing elementary school because they never do their homework autonomously, and are always sabotaging each other's school projects.
